Pastor Bio

Pastor Samuel L Peppers was born to Elder J.C. and Lizzie Peppers in Itta Bena, Mississippi, on October 16, 1949. He was one of eleven children, 7 sisters and 3 brothers.The family enjoyed each other and was all educated in the school system of Lorfore County.

 

Pastor Peppers furthered his education at Valley State University and graduating with a BS Degree in Industrial Education. After graduation, he attended the University of Kentucky at Lexington Kentucky and graduate with a degree in Education. After graduating, he was recruited to the University of Michigan, furthers his studies in education, and was then hired at the University of Michigan in which he was a faithful employee for 31 years. He enjoyed a great career with hands on position allowing him to work with young adults and seniors.

 

All of Pastor Pepper’s life he had been in church and now is called to the ministry. He was a faithful member of the Fountain Church of God in Christ serving in many capacities under his spiritual father and mentor, Pastor Booker T. Rimson, one of the greatest preachers, teacher and leader that ever walked the face of the earth, truly a great man of God.

 

He married Missionary Ruth M. Rowry and they spent a wonderful life together for twenty-seven years then the Lord called her home. She was truly a faithful servant of the Lord. After the transition of Pastor Rimson, Pastor Peppers was appoint pastor of the church and has been pastor for the past twenty years. The church has grown and the Lord is blessing, his vision is to see every member on every pew SAVED and filled with the HOLY GHOST. He has a great passion for our youth they are the church for today and the future. The Lord said to Adam it is not good for man to be alone therefore, the Lord blessed Pastor Peppers with his wife Mo. Earlie M. Peppers nine years ago. To God be the GLORY!
